THANK YOU.
Taking God for Granted!

1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1. Do we fail to recognize the gifts from God?
Numbers 11:4b-6 (NLT) 4b And the people of Israel also began to complain. “Oh, for some meat!” they exclaimed. 5 “We remember the fish we used to eat for free in Egypt. And we had all the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic we wanted. 6 But now our appetites are gone. All we ever see is this manna!”
Isaiah 45:9 (NLT) 9 “What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong! ’Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’
Psalm 78:19-22 (NIV) 19 They even spoke against God himself, saying, “God can’t give us food in the wilderness. 20 Yes, he can strike a rock so water gushes out, but he can’t give his people bread and meat.” 21 When the Lord heard them, he was furious. The fire of his wrath burned against Jacob. Yes, his anger rose against Israel, 22 for they did not believe God or trust him to care for them.
2nd Corinthians 12:9-10 (NLT) 9a Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.

2nd Corinthians 12:9b-10 (NLT) 9b So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Does the clay __________ with the one who _________ it?

2. Do we fail to recognize the gift of God Himself?
Psalm 8:1,3-4 (NLT) 1 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. 3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place— 4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?
Psalm 95:1-6 (NLT) 1 Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. 3 For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. 4 He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. 5 The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. 6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,
Romans 10:2-3 (NLT) 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law
Hosea 12:6 (NIV) 2 But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always. The Lord is a _______ God, a great ______ ________ all gods.
